To show their support for World Breastfeeding Week they have released these stunning images that not only show the beauty of breastfeeding but also address the taboo of breast feeding in public.
At first glance you are looking at a striking couture image but on closer inspection you see a baby held to breast – and yes, the model is a real mother and child! Once you strip back the juxtaposition of an overly dressed woman in a laundrette the message is clear. We need to normalise our perception of women breastfeeding in public, after all it is a totally natural function of motherhood.
